Matthew J. Chauvin, Esq.
Matthew J. Chauvin has been practicing law for nearly a decade and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as in the Northern District of New York and Federal Court. He has built a diverse practice that includes DWI and criminal defense, vehicle and traffic law, civil litigation, municipal law, and personal injury. Mr. Chauvin’s breadth of experience allows him to offer clients strategic and informed representation across a wide range of legal matters.
Before joining Ianniello Anderson, P.C., Mr. Chauvin served as an Assistant District Attorney for Saratoga County for six years, where he focused primarily on prosecuting DWI cases. His work as a prosecutor provided him with invaluable insight into the criminal justice system, and his prosecutorial experience continues to inform his approach to defense work. In addition, Mr. Chauvin served as the Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Halfmoon, where he managed legal matters related to zoning, planning, land use, and code enforcement for six years. This experience in municipal law has given him a solid foundation in navigating local government regulations and advocating on behalf of clients in front of municipal boards.
Mr. Chauvin is deeply committed to serving his clients with integrity and diligence, and he thrives in high-stakes legal situations. What he enjoys most about his practice is the opportunity to help clients understand and overcome complex legal issues. Whether defending a client against criminal charges or assisting a business with municipal zoning matters, Mr. Chauvin takes pride in offering practical solutions that help his clients achieve their goals. His client-centered approach and his ability to communicate effectively with those he serves have made him a trusted advocate in the community.
Mr. Chauvin earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Pennsylvania State University and his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and he is also admitted to practice in the Northern District of New York and Federal Court.
